In ancient time,civil people were out of political issues or wars, but now general common people are the victims of these types of clashes,Why?

Politics is a complex matter. From the ancient time people were involve with it directly or indirectly. In the ancient time there were political unrest, but we blame the ancient people as ignorant, brutal, barbarous, illiterate, cavemen, uncivilized, hunter,  idiot and so on. But now is the ultramodern age. What we see all are opposing the ancient times. What the causes of these undergoing destructive violence, clashes, wars, abuses or powers, weapons.
